5 killed as lorry rams into chicken shop
5 killed as lorry rams into chicken shop, Lorry Accident at Chintalavalasa village. The deceased were identified as Eswara Rao (38), Mopada Srinu ( 35), Sunkari Applala Naidu (30), Shontya Suryanarayana (36) and Satyam.
Vizianagaram: Five construction labourers were killed and three others sustained serious injuries when a lorry crashed into a chicken shop at Chintalavalasa village, in Denkada mandal, of Vizianaganaram district on Saturday. While four died on the spot, another succumbed to the injuries on the way to a hospital.
The deceased were identified as Eswara Rao (38), Mopada Srinu ( 35), Sunkari Applala Naidu (30), Shontya Suryanarayana (36) and Satyam.
According to police, the accident occurred when the driver lost control after brake failed. Officials rushed to the accident site and shifted the injured to KGH in Vizag.
While expressing shock over the mishap, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy directed officials to provide better treatment to the injured. He spoke with Collector Kantilal Dande and SP Tafseer Iqbal.
