Post T bill rejection, Damodara lauds Ambedkar

Just a few minutes after the adjournment of the state assembly for an indefinite time, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Damodara Raja Narasimha addressed the media on Thursday and said the positive voice vote given by the speaker of the state assembly was unprincipled. He said Dr. BR Ambedkar had envisaged the very possibility, even before many years and brought into force, article 3. He said under such a condition wherein the Chief Minister, leader of opposition and the speaker all hailing from one particular region, there was no possibility to truth to prevail.

Damodara urged the populous of Telangana not to worry as it was only the resolution moved by the Chief Minister that was passed by the speaker Nadendla Manohar through positive voice vote and not the rejection of the bill that has taken place. Further, he said there was no peril imposed as far as Telangana formation was concerned. He asked all Telanganites to keep themselves free from all sorts of worries as they reached the final stage.
