Is Chandrababu following Jagan?. He had met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party leaders, BJP, CPI and CPM leaders and Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray among others. Now, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu too seems to be doing just that- knocking on the doors of national leaders.
Not in all the ways but only in meeting the national party leaders. It is a known fact that YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met several party presidents as part of his campaign against bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu's purpose of meeting leaders is also on the Telangana issue. But he is not expressing any opposition towards the formation of a new state, Naidu is seeking equal justice for both the regions and at the same time making an attempt to expose the unilateral decision of Congress to divide the state.
When Jagan met them, speculation was rife that apart from the Telangana issue, he also discussed politics. Now, the same talk is being heard in the political circles- that Chandrababu is also exploring the possibilities of a third front at the Centre.
Jagan, YSRCP MPs storm well of the House
Amid chaos that hit the first session of the Lok Sabha, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy along with other MPs stormed onto the well of the House raising slogans of 'Jai Samaikyandhra' to oppose the division of Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan and Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy also held placards protesting against the formation of Telangana.
Taking the Telangana heat to Delhi, YSRCP leaders including the party honorary president, YS Vijayamma left for New Delhi to stage a dharna at the Jantar Mantar. After chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy concludes his dharna, the YSRCP leaders are expected to stage a sit-in at the same venue in the presence of Jagan.
Later, they will lead a delegation to President Pranab Mukherjee to request him to stop bifurcation.
Chandrababu meets Udhav Thakre
The Shiv Sena supremo Udhav Thakre was called on by the Telugu Desam Party Supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Mumbai on Wednesday.
After the meet, both Chandrababu Naidu and Udhav addressed the media. Thakre said the party MPs will oppose the Telangana bill in the Parliament. He opined that the way the Congress Party has put forward the bill was not acceptable to Shiv Sena. Thakre said it was based on divide and rule policy.
