Hyderabad: The leader of opposition in Loksabha and Bharatiya Janata Party Senior leader Sushma Swaraj has reportedly raised a question to both Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan regarding their stand on Telangana statehood.
It is learnt that Sushma Swaraj was rather anguished over their stand on this very subject. It is learnt that Sushma Swaraj has clearly iterated to Chandrababu Naidu who was accompanied by Nama Nageshwar Rao that BJP was firm to support Telangana issue and they will not slew even an inch to the other side of the issue.
The TJAC leaders also called on Sushma Swaraj to seek support for Telangana statehood at her residence on Thursday. During this time, she has reportedly shared her discussion with Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan. One of the TJAC leaders said that Sushma wondered how Chandrababu Naidu can roam around the national leaders without having a clear idea on his own stand on this very issue.
According to the details shared by Sushma with TJAC leaders, Sushma raised a question to Chandrababu what his stand on Telangana was. Reportedly, Babu said they have been abiding by the letter which was given in 2008 to Pranab Mukherjee. Then in turn she asked why Chandrababu was against Telangana now and asked whether he was sure that he has been abide by his 2008 letter. Reportedly, he answered yes in turn. Then Sushma asked why he was now claiming equal justice.
Reportedly Sushma asked him why he was behind equal justice instead of seeking what Seemandhra needs. Chandrababu got convinced that BJP was firm on this issue and didn’t talk further on this issue, reportedly. It is learnt that Sushma assured Chandrababu Naidu that if he suggests some amendments to the bill, she can talk on them in the Parliament.
It is learnt that Sushma expressed wonder over the Nama Nageshwar Rao’s stance. It was learnt through Sushma to TJAC leaders that Nama when accompanied by the Telangana TDP leaders supported the cause of Telangana, whereas, he opposed the very cause when he accompanied Chandrababu. TJAC leaders said that Sushma told them that both Congress Party and TDP have been playing double game and when she pointed out these parties on their dual stance, said Sushma, the two parties have been passing the grapevine to the media that BJP took a U turn.
In a similar manner, Sushma took a homily to Jagan, reportedly. It is learnt that Jagan sought support from her for stopping state bifurcation and sought time to convince her. In turn, Sushma reportedly said Jagan that they were aware of entire thing and there was no issue that BJP will revoke their decision of supporting Telangana. When Jagan allegedly called her the representative of Telangana, reportedly, she said she was in deed a Telangana representative. It is learnt that instead of asking what they need for Seemandhra, the duo has been wasting the time.
