The delegation of YSRCP led by party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met BJP national president Rajnath Singh in Delhi and urged BJP's intervention to stall the Telangana process.
Speaking to media after the meeting, YS Jagan said that he apprised the BJP president the need of his (Rajnath) party's support to keep the state united. "We have spoken to Rajnath bhai and we did have a very detailed discussion on it. He has assured us that he would be discussing this matter with his colleagues in the party and very soon a decision would emerge."
"I am hopeful that wisdom would dawn upon all the Opposition parties and all of them would stand up against this injustice," he added.
Jagan hoped that the BJP national president would come out with a good decision.
Jagan termed yesterday's incident as most unfortunate and disapproved the way the Telangana Bill was introduced in the Parliament. He also came down heavily on people who were making mockery of the democracy.
"Even Sushma Swaraj, LK Advani and the AIADMK leaders were shell-shocked over the way the Bill was introduced in the Parliament," he signed off hoping that all the parties would join together to stop the injustice.
