New Delhi: As the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Bill 2013 has been passed by either house, the Centre is all set to chalk out a plan for streamlining the Andhra Pradesh state affairs.

It is evident that Kiran Kumar Reddy has offered his resignation as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Form the other end, the general elections 2014 are looming.

At this crucial juncture, there has been a qualm in the Centre’s patio whether to appoint a new Chief Minister or to impose President’s rule. Also, the crucial bill was passed by the Upper House only on Thursday. So, the Centre finds time only now, to focus on the state affairs.

It is likely that the Centre/Congress Party High Command may arrive at a decision on Friday on this very matter. Already the state governor ESL Narasimhan had submitted a memorandum to the Centre on Thursday. The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Kamalnath on Thursday has confirmed the same. There is news making rounds that even before the general elections, Chiranjeevi will be appointed as the Chief Minister of residual Andhra Pradesh, while Geetha Reddy or Ponnala Lakshmaiah have the chances of being Telangana Chief Minister.
