ESL accepts Kiran's resignation, Governor ESL Narasimhan, CM Kiran's resignation. It is learnt that the the Governor had asked Kiran to continue as a care-taker Chief Minister. But the Chief Minister reportedly declined Governor's request.
Governor ESL Narasimhan on Friday accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who resigned on Wednesday protesting against of the passage of Telangana Bill by the Lok Sabha.
It is learnt that the the Governor had asked Kiran to continue as a care-taker Chief Minister. But the Chief Minister reportedly declined Governor's request.
The governor's decision follows Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi on the alternative arrangement. Speculation is rife that President's rule may be imposed in the state. But there is no stopping Seemandhra and Telangana Congress leaders' lobbying for the CM's post.
