Hyderabad: CL Rajam, the Chairman of Namaste Telangana news daily is believed to be contesting from Medak Lok Sabha constituency. Medak Lok Sabha is vacant as of now with the resignation of KCR. He retained the Gajwel assembly constitutency and tendered resignation to Medak Lok Sabha constituency.
According to sources, CL Rajam was promised for Rajya Sabha seat by KCR at an earlier instant. Nevertheless, the chances appeared dim which ultimately paved him to join BJP, expecting the ticket to contest from Medak constituency. From the other end, he reportedly maintains good relationship with Modi, the Prime Minister of India. Also, BJP would like to nominate a strong contender of TRS party who equally took part in the Telangana agitation in the by elections for Medak Lok Sabha constituency. All these collectively are likely to bring Rajam the ticket to contest in Lok Sabha polls from Medalk constituency.
If the buzz is to be believed, by now, Rajam has already got a nod by the BJP high command, even before he joined the party on Thursday in presence of Rajnath Singh, the BJP national president.
