Chandrababu Naidu swearing-in ceremoney controversy

And it's gonna be no less than a fancy Telugu wedding where lakhs of rupees are spent to appease the guests.
It's the same scenario here too. The venue is the sprawling campus of the Acharya Nagarjuna University. Scores of people are working round the clock to ready the stage. The entire 70-acre area in the Guntur region will be decked up like a Christmas tree. The venue will accommodate around 5 lakh people and the stretch between Guntur and Vijawada will be illuminated to give the festive look.
The who's who from the corporate and the political fraternity are expected to attend the event. Some film stars including Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan and the NTR khandaan too will grace the event, it is learnt.
The guest list includes some 200 VVIPs comprising union ministers, chief ministers and corporate giants. And why not?
Political observers feel that even if state leaders give it a miss, industrialists won't as they want Naidu's help to build businesses in tier-2 cities.
Traffic arrangements are being worked out to ease congestion on roads and security beefed up to ensure smooth functioning of event.
Chandrababu's swearing-in event is being touted as one of its kind and a first in the history of Telugu land. However, the amount being spent on the arrangements has not gone down well with his detractors and some section of the public. While the main opposition party YSR Congress headed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has slammed the TDP for wasting public money when the state in in deep financial crisis, the public is fuming at the power consumption on the oath-taking day.
YSRCP leader G Srikanth Reddy said:"The way hotels are booked, private choppers are hired and sub-stations are built only reflects TDP's wrong priorities when the public is already in so much distress."
All the star hotels in the vicinity are booked in the name of VVIP guests and several high-end vehicles are hired for the sake of their travel.
Well, nothing much can be done now. But let's hope that Chandrababu makes it up to the people for the losses suffered soon as he takes charge.
