Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Assembly winter session will be held from December 5. The session will continue for eight days, according to Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Monday.

The Speaker visited the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus and interacted with the vice-chancellor Prof K Viyanna Rao.

His visit is aimed at exploring the possibilities of holding the winter session on the campus.

The Speaker, along with the Vice-chancellor and other staff inspected the University's auditorium – Deichmann Hall – which could be the venue for the winter session. The auditorium has room 1,500 people. It has ample space to accommodate the legislators and the staff during the session.

Sivaprasada Rao expressed satisfaction over the facilities existing on the campus.

He said he would review with the officials and decide on holding the session in the Deichmann Hall on the campus. He said the people in the State would be happy if the session was held in the State.
