Kakinada: Reliance Industries, Gadimoga launched a five-day teachers training workshop for the Government school teachers across the East Godavari district on Tuesday.

The training programme, instituted to impart latest educational techniques to the teachers, is being conducted by experts from Vidya Bhavan Society, Udaipur. Reliance Industries, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is facilitating this workshop in association with the District Educational Department.

JNTU-Kakinada Registrar Dr GVR Prasada Raju formally launched the training session and addressed the teachers on the first day at Kakinada.

Speaking on the occasion, he opined that the training sessions of this sort would go a long way in improving the teaching skills of the students and thereby benefit the students in the Government schools. DyEO Venkata Narasamma asked the teachers to fully utilise the opportunities provided to them. N Ravichandran, Head-Support Services, RIL and Kamal Mahendroo, Senior Fellow, Vidya Bhavan were present.

The five-day training session is being organised simultaneously at three centres (Kakinada, Gadimoga and Rajahmundry). Around 200 teachers (selected by the District Education Department) are undergoing training in this workshop. In the second phase of the training, subject-oriented workshops will be conducted to the teams.
