Hyderabad: The one week-long winter session of the State Assembly which would commence from Thursday promises to be a stormy one as the opposition YSRCP is planning to mount attack against the government alleging that it had failed to keep up its electoral promises even after six months of being in power.

YSRCP wants to take on the government on issues like crop loan waiver and land pooling for the proposed new capital of the state. The government too is working out its strategies to retaliate. It also proposes to introduce five bills during the session which includes the much talked Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) bill, Invoice Tracking Bill, to bring an amendment in the existing commercial taxes law.

Besides, as it has been facing legal hurdles following scrapping of governing bodies of the temple boards and market yard committees, the government is mulling to give legal ground to validate its earlier ordinances on these two subjects seeking the passage of these two bills on the same.

According to the Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the government has already issued Ordinances with regard to Market Committees, Endowment Trustees and Aviation Turbine Fuel. However, the government now wants to introduce bills with a few changes to these Ordinances in the Assembly to make them Acts. The winter session of the State assembly will have morning and evening sessions for five days.
