Rajahmundry: Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami is going to take part in Godavari Pushkaram in AP in the second half- that is from July 20. However, his main disciple and head of all the programmes conducted by his trust ‘Vikasa Tarangini’ and other service organisations-Sri Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami-has said that on the directions of their guru they are going to conduct Brahma Yagnam from July 14 in SKVT High School, Rajahmundry, in a specially arranged yagasala.
Speaking to media persons, here on Monday, Sri Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Swami said that it is customary to perform bathing and pooja of God ‘Sudarshana Swami’ and River Goddess respectively before 6 am on July 14 and then Peetadhipathies, Swamijis will take Pushkara Punya snanam (holy dip).
“Persons who are at the helm of affairs like President of India, Prime Minister or Chief Minister of any state has to take holy dip, after the Sudarshana Perumal (God) takes bath and the River Godavari”-as state government fixed the muhurtham at 6 14 am on that day.
According to Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swami from July 14, they are going to conduct yagnams, special poojas, tadiyaaradhana, theertha gosti and also arranged discourses with Swamijis, Pandits and spiritual personalities in SKVT High School grounds. “We are also planning to take ‘Hindu Samajam’, which is close to river Godavari, as additional accommodation and its ground to conduct some of the rituals and the process of getting the permission is going on,” Swamiji added.
