YSRCP demands AP Govt to declare all mandals as drought hit

Stating that the Government should pay compensation to the crop loss as the farmers are worst hit by the policies of the state, YSRC party spokesperson K Parthasarathi on Wednesday said that NREGS should be extended to all without relaxation or restriction. Farmers have been driven to indebtedness due to no loan waiver, failure of water release in the Khariff season and agriculture policy.
The YSRC leader said that the amount was spent to modernize the buildings of Chief Minister and the agriculture minister leaving the delta region with no water for the Kharif season and no budget for Delta Modernization scheme.
Mr Parthasarathi added that under these circumstances, they demand the government to provide work to all the labour under NREGS in addition to providing compensation to the crop loss.
