Senior officials of the State government on Monday visited the venue for the foundation stone ceremony located between Uddandarayunipalem and Tallayapalem and reviewed the arrangements.
Amaravati: Senior officials of the State government on Monday visited the venue for the foundation stone ceremony located between Uddandarayunipalem and Tallayapalem and reviewed the arrangements.
The government identified the 50 acre on the banks of river Krishna for the prestigious foundation stone laying ceremony slated for October 22. It invited the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a galaxy of leaders from across the world for the event.
The government had also proposed half-a-dozen helipads in the area for the VVIPs to land from Gannavaram airport on the day to join the ceremony.
Guntur district Collector Kantilal Dande, additional D G, N V Surendra Babu, Guntur IG Sanjay, SP Tripati and other officials inspected the site selected for the foundation.
The officials also inspected the locations identified for parking for different categories of invitees. A route map was prepared which would be finalised at a later date after due consultation with the senior officials and Ministers.
