Mild tension prevails at MG Road near CM camp office.

Mild tensions prevailed at MG Road here on Monday, when the police foiled the rally of DSC-2014 qualified candidates, who demanded filling up of posts notified. DSC candidates lead by Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) made a vain bid to stage a protest near Chief Minister’s camp office. A total of 150 candidates and activists of DYFI were taken in custody, when they were moving towards CM’s camp office. The arrested candidates were taken to nearby police station and later released.

Speaking on the occasion, DSC Udhyoga Sadhana Samithi honorary president P Madhav alleged that State government has left 10, 313 qualified candidates in quandary. He demanded the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to release merit list of the DSC candidates and fill vacant posts. Madhav threatened that relay hunger strikes would be staged across the 13 districts to press the demands. “A massive indefinite hunger strike campaign would be launched in the city from December 28. This time around even the family members of the qualified candidates will sit on strike, if State government fails to release the merit list,” he added.
