Visakhapatnam: Gangavaram Port Limited has launched its fifth training programme in tailoring and designing for women at Gangavaram village as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative here on Tuesday. Senior Vice-President K Raja Ratnam Naidu, who launched the programme, said that 50 women interested in tailoring were selected for a 45-day programme and also provides free transport from the village to the centre.
He said after successful completion of the training, the women will be given away certificates to help get either self- employment or jobs in apparel parks. Port vice-president (security) M Jaganmohan Reddy, vice- president (liasoning) LPS Ramu Naidu and V Murali Varma were also present.
