Chittoor: The four-day police sports meet has concluded here on Monday on a grand note. More number of participants took part in the police sports meet this time when compared to previous years.

Addressing the gathering at a function organised at the Police Parade Grounds here on the concluding day, District Superintendent of Police (SP) G Srinivas expressed happiness for making the four-day meet a grand success.

Every year, police sports meet used to conclude in two days excluding the valedictory function. The SP said that he had consented to extend it to four days with overwhelming response from participants to take part in sports meet.

Srinivas said that events like sports meet will make the policemen to become stress-free. He stressed on the need for organising more sports events which would help police personnel to discharge their duties in an efficient manner. He gave a call to policemen to develop patience while dealing with cases.

He complimented the participants for taking part in the event with enthusiasm. He wished that winners would continue their winning spirit in the future events too. The Chittoor (Armed Reserve) has won the overall championship.

The SP G Srinivas, Additional SPs (Administration) Abhishek Mohanty and V Ratna (Operations), DSPs Lakshmi Naidu, Sudhakara Reddy, A Ramaniah, Ram Kumar and other police officials also took part in the sports meet.
