Counter criticism over Kapu welfare, Naidu asks party men

Vijayawada: In wake of Opposition parties launching a scathing attack on the party for allegedly not fulfilling promises made to Kapus, Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is believed to have directed his party men to counter the diatribe.

Speaking to party leaders through teleconference from Hyderabad, he instructed them to blame the Congress and the YSRCP for neglecting the community over the years.

He said it was only the TDP that had worked for the uplift and welfare of the community since its inception. He also took a dig at the YSRC chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his comments on Kapu welfare and wanted to know what he had done for them as an MP in the past.
