The official separation was announced by the Governor at the recent meeting of forming new State bodies to run the organisations effectively. When contacted, vice-president of AP Scouts and Guides Association Narava Prakasa Rao who attended the Council meet told The Hans India that both the associations were asked to work hard in spreading Scouts and Guides training concept in all schools by involving them in Swachh Bharat programme.

Both the associations were further asked to function with a competitive spirit and to conduct review meetings at regular intervals. The association urged the government to issue a GO making Scouts and Guides compulsory in all government and recognised schools in the State giving necessary instructions to all DEOs, to conduct at least one training class in a week, to appeal to the government for allocating more funds to run the organisation effectively, to appoint Scouts Masters and Guides Captains for training at least 25,000 schoolchildren in the coming six months, to finalise the issue of allocation of funds to set up the headquarters of Scouts and Guides in Guntur and a suitable camp site for training in Visakhapatnam.
