CPM faults Ganta, Atchennaidu for not visiting injured workers

Visakhapatnam: A team of CPM leaders comprising All India Secretariat Member V Srinivasa Rao, Choudary Tejeswara Rao of Srikakulam, district secretary K Lokanadham and CITU district general secretary S Ramesh called on the severely injured workers of Divis Pharmaceutical Company at a local private hospital here on Saturday.

G Bhaskara Rao suffered 84 percent of burn injuries, V Asiri Naidu 62 per cent and P Ganapati 55 per cent in the blast occurred in the company on April 6. The party national leader Srinivasa Rao told reporters that it was very unfortunate the way the company management had suppressed the major blast incident.

He alleged that lack of safety measures inside the company was the main reason behind such incidents. Condemning the negligent attitude of the management in responding to provide best medicare to the injured, he demanded the government to take action against the management adding that the condition of all the three was stated to be serious.

District secretary Lokanadham alleged that the Divis management was playing with the lives of the workers. He also found fault with the Minister, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who has not even enquired the health condition of the injured even though the company was located in his Assembly segment.

Similarly, Minister for Labour Atchennaidu too also failed to visit the injured who belong to Srikakulam district. The CPM team demanded the government to intervene and provide best medicare to the injured.
