Sensitse people about toilets
District Collector Ch Vijaya Mohan on Sunday directed the community resource persons to sensitise the people on the construction of individual toilets in 45 mandals which were identified for the purpose. He wanted them to take out rallies involving the village-level federations, farmers’ bodies, village-level officials and elected people’s representatives.

He wanted them to take out rallies involving the village-level federations, farmers’ bodies, village-level officials and elected people’s representatives.
In a meeting with the community resource persons, he asked them to submit a report in the prescribed proforma on how many toilets were built, what is the extent of pending bills and what is the response of beneficiaries to individual toilets. Moreover, he asked them to prepare a village map marking the houses having toilets with one colour and those not having the toilets with a different colour.
He told them to take steps to clear the wild growth of thorny bushes in the village so that people will shun the habit of open defecation. DRDA project director, DWAMA project director Pulla Reddy and others were present at the meeting.
