Vempalle (Kadapa): Fire broke out in State Bank of India branch here on Thursday morning due to short circuit. Records and furniture worth Rs 10 lakh were gutted in the fire accident.
According to the chief accountant Ganesh, a tea stall owner has noticed flames billowing out from the bank and informed fire fighting personnel. The fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused flames. Fire officials said that mishap took place due to short circuit. Police registered a case.
