GITAM online admission test begins
The GITAM University Admission Test (GAT-2016) for admission into B Tech, M Tech, B Arch and Pharmacy programmes started here on Tuesday.
Visakhapatnam: The GITAM University Admission Test (GAT-2016) for admission into B Tech, M Tech, B Arch and Pharmacy programmes started here on Tuesday. The process will continue up to May 8, 2016. University Vice-Chancellor Prof M S Prasada Rao released the online test paper and visited GAT-2016 test centre along with Registrar Prof M Potharaju, principals Prof K Lakshmiprasad, Prof S Ganapathi, Prof Mohan, and Admissions Director Prof K Narendra.
Admission programmes will be at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses for the academic year 2016-17. K Narendra said around 50,000 students have applied for all India level online admission test and it will be conducted at 44 cities across the country.
The two hours admission test consists of multiple choice questions and each correct answer will be awarded three marks and one mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The specialty of the test is all the students who write the GAT-2016 online test will get the score immediately after completing the test.
GITAM University is conducting this online entrance examination successfully for the last nine years. Seats will be allotted through online counselling. University offers fee waiver (full or partial) for top 100 GAT rankers.
