The State government on Wednesday entered into an agreement with the Milk Mission project, University of Pennsylvania to enhance the milk production as well as cattle population. A delegation from the University met the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office on Wednesday and signed the MoU. 

Vijayawada: The State government on Wednesday entered into an agreement with the Milk Mission project, University of Pennsylvania to enhance the milk production as well as cattle population. A delegation from the University met the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office on Wednesday and signed the MoU.

As per the agreement the University experts will impart training to enhance the milk production, livestock population and transfer technology to increase cattle population through artificial insemination and milk production by feeding high quality fodder.

Efforts will be made to increase the population of Ongole bull and Punganuru cow with the help of artificial insemination (IVF) procedures being developed by the University of Pennsylvania.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that there is need to increase the population of Ongole bull and Punganur cow. He informed the visiting delegation that dairy development plays very important role in the Andhra Pradesh economy.
