Vijayawada: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is setting up a replica of Tirumala temple at PWD Grounds in the city to enable pilgrims to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara during Krishna Pushkaralu. The replica temple will be opened for darshan on August 7 after performing special rituals.

Addressing mediapersons here on Wednesday, TTD Joint Executive Officer K S Srinivasa Raju said that for the convenience of devotees, a four-line darshan is being planned.

Devotees will be offered `Chakkera Pongali’ and `Pulihora’ as Anna Prasadam apart from Mini-Laddu prasadam. Anna Prasadam will be served to 25,000 devotees every day. The entire temple premises will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras as over 75,000 devotees are expected to have darshan of the Lord every day.

The Parakamani Hundi counting activity will be carried out amidst tight security, he said.The TTD will organise many devotional programmes during the 12-day river fete to enthrall the visiting pilgrims. Veda Ghosha will be held twice a day.

Annamacharya Sankeertanas will also be rendered during Unjal Seva. The TTD devotional programmes will also be organised at Buddha statue in Amaravati and at Andhra Maha Vishnu temple at Srikakulam in Krishna district.

The rendering of Dasa Bhajana round-the-clock by artistes will be another special attraction. About 1,000 Srivari Sevaks, scouts and guides and 800 staff will be deployed at the venue for crowd management, the TTD JEO said.

District Collector Babu A said the administration would extend its full support to the TTD for the conduct of devotional activities during the river fete. Earlier, the JEO inspected the construction works of Tirumala temple replica.

TTD Projects Special Officer N Muktheswara Rao, Additional CVSO Siva Kumar Reddy, SE Sudhakar Rao, transport GM Sesha Reddy and other officials accompanied him.
