Stay away from ragging vice chancellor cautions students

Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University vice-chancellor Prof M Mutyala Naidu on Friday asked students not to spoil their career by resorting to ragging.
He released a poster on anti-ragging at his chamber here. Nannaya University NSS Unit-IV along with Botany department designed posters on anti-ragging. Future Kids School came forward to fund the university in printing the posters.
Addressing a meeting, the vice-chancellor said, “Ragging is not good for students and the institution.” He asked seniors to create a student-friendly atmosphere for freshers on campuses. He said that students should focus on course completion and search for employment opportunities during their 2-year stay in the university.
Correspondent of Future Kids School Ravibabu said the ragging menace is more prevalent in professional colleges than degree colleges. NSS coordinator Prof Suresh Varma suggested to the students to dial the numbers displayed on the posters for immediate help.
BEd college principal Prof K Subba Rao, Science college principal Prof Matta Reddy, academic dean Prof Teki, Future Kids academic coordinator Padmavathi and others were present.
