Woman worker nabbed for carrying liquor to Tirumala

Tirupati: A woman Dorasanamma, working as a sweeper in Tirumala depot of APSRTC was taken into custody on Monday by TTD vigilance staff after they had found her carrying a liquor bottle and cooked meat in a box.

The checking staff at the toll gate, Alipiri, while checking the passengers in a bus in which Dorasanamma was also travelling to Tirumala for duty, found the prohibited liquor bottle and meat.

She first opposed the checking on the ground as a staff of RTC and a daily passenger to Tirumala for duty. But the vigilance staff checked her bag and found the prohibited items. The checking staff often tends to spare the staff including TTD personnel going to Tirumala from personal checking.
