Vijayawada: CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna on Tuesday hailed the acceptance of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by film actor Sivaji on Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.
The CPI leader in a statement said the BJP government cheated State on SCS by not granting the Status as promised before the elections. He alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was not sincere in securing SCS.
The CPI leader said the BJP government was giving false figures on the package announced to the State. He hoped the State can get justice with the PIL filed by film actor Sivaji.
