HRC notice to Collector on mysterious disease
The Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission (APHRC) issued notices to the District Collector and the District Medical and Health Officer of Adilabad on the mysterious diseases that afflicted the Adivasis in the Agency areas of the district.

The Human Rights Commission was reacting to the complaint lodged by High Court Advocate Shaik Mastan Vali that the administration had miserably failed to diagnose the disease let alone treat it.
The commission would take up the matter on February 28 for consideration and the officials were instructed to submit the reports before that date in three sets. The Commission warned that in the event of default, it may proceed to take such action as it deems proper.
