Thyagaraja Aradhana Utsavam observed
Tirupati: The 179th Thyagaraja Aradhanotsavam was observed with devotional fervour in Tirupati and Kakarla in Prakasam district by TTD SV College of Music and Dance on Tuesday.
Tirupati: The 179th Thyagaraja Aradhanotsavam was observed with devotional fervour in Tirupati and Kakarla in Prakasam district by TTD SV College of Music and Dance on Tuesday.
In Tirupati, the Utsavam commenced with the celestial Panchamrutabishekam performed to the Panchaloha statues of Lord Sri Rama, Sita Devi, Lakshmana Swamy, Anjaneya Swamy and Saint and music composer Thyagaraja Swamy in the college premises.
Later, the deities were brought to Mahati Auditorium on a procession. The college faculty and students presented Thyagaraya Pancharatna Kritis with melody and rhythm touching the sky.
In Kakarla, the home town of Saint Thyagaraja in Prakasam district, special programmes were observed on this occasion.
Principal YVS Padmavathi and special officer Goutami were also present.
