During the meeting, the TDP leaders informed the Amarnath Reddy to transfer District Collector Siddarth Jain as he was reluctant to hear the issues of the party functionaries. They also brought to the Minister’s notice that the TDP will face defeat if Jain is continued as the Collector. The TDP leaders reportedly informed the Minister several TDP MLAs, Chittoor MP and ZP Chairperson are not happy with the functioning of the Collector.

The Minister told the TDP leaders that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has to take a decision to transfer the Collector. Instead, Amarnath Reddy advised the TDP leaders to get along with district officials and work for the district development. He assured of reducing the differences between the TDP leaders and the Collector. The Minister reportedly told the TDP leaders transferring of officials will hamper developmental works.

However, he made it clear that district administration have to respond to the issues raised by elected representatives. The Chittoor MLA made an appeal to the Minister to resolve drinking water woes of city residents. She stressed on the need for immediate diversion of Telugu Ganga water to Chittoor as promised by her husband and former MP Adikesavulu Naidu. After the meeting, Amarnath Reddy left to Palamaner to attend a meeting.
