Tirupati: The BJP is organising a Modi Fest in the district to propagate the achievements and schemes that were implemented in the three-year NDA government rule in the country. This was aimed at creating awareness among people about the 106 welfare schemes initiated by the Narendra Modi government of which only 50 to 60 per cent have reached the people of all sections.

Now, the party wants to take it forward to bring more beneficiaries for the schemes, said BJP OBC Morcha State President Jalli Madhusudan. Speaking to the media in Tirupati on Tuesday, he said the party is organising a mega exhibition from June 9 to 11 on various schemes and achievements of the party. The party has inaugurated the mobile vans which will tour the city at various places to propagate the welfare schemes.

BJP state general secretary S Suresh Reddy said that the party is organizing a campaign ‘Vistarak’, throughout the state. As part of the campaign, the BJP will identify the booth committees which are weak. In Chittoor district, the weak committees will be identified within 15 days by utilising the services of 1,500 party workers and chalk out a programme to strengthen them.

The BJP workers will see that the central government schemes should reach all the intended beneficiaries. Everyone should know and everyone should reap the benefits, he asserted. He criticised Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in Guntur meeting.

He made the Congress responsible for the truncated AP to undergo troubles because of state bifurcation. He asked APCC president Raghuveera Reddy to tell how many projects they have completed during the Congress government tenure. BJP state executive member Fareed Khan was also present.
