Anti-Corruption Bureau raids tainted tahsildar’s residence
The Anti-Corruption Bureau found properties in Vizianagaram district belonging to M Sankara Rao who was allegedly involved in the land scam in Visakhapatnam district. M Sankara Rao was facing serious allegations that he had tampered with the revenue records and favoured some bigwigs belonging to the Telugu Desam Party when he was working in Visakhapatnam as tahsildar.
Vizianagaram: The Anti-Corruption Bureau found properties in Vizianagaram district belonging to M Sankara Rao who was allegedly involved in the land scam in Visakhapatnam district. M Sankara Rao was facing serious allegations that he had tampered with the revenue records and favoured some bigwigs belonging to the Telugu Desam Party when he was working in Visakhapatnam as tahsildar.
The government found that 40 records were tampered with and held Sankara Rao responsible for tampering. Later, the ACB has filed a criminal case against him. On Wednesday, the ACB conducted simultaneous raids on his properties in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. The ACB found some important documents from his residence in Bobbili and seized documents from the houses of his friends and relatives. Inspectors K Ramesh, K Lakshmoji participated in the raid.
