Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation to merge into ONGC soon

The GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation) will soon be merging into ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation), according to Amalapuram Lok Sabha member Dr P Ravindra Babu. He said that the modalities were being worked out for the merger by petroleum and natural gas ministry.

The NDA government planned the merger for more effective functioning of the two corporations as one organisation, the MP said. When contacted on the issue, GSPC DGM Ramesh Babu who operates from Kakinada said that any information on the issue and on GSPC activities has to come from corporate office, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. We are not authorised to speak on the issue, the DGM said.
