Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has confirmed the final design of permanent Andhra Pradesh Legislative (Assembly, Council) Building Complex which resembles the Kohinoor diamond. Similarly, he has given his nod for the Buddhist Stupa (hemispherical structure) design for the High Court building, which will be constructed in the Capital Amaravati.
The Chief Minister asked the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials to show the High Court building design to the Chief Justice of High Court for his approval, where the final design should be readied in two days.
The Norman Fosters and Partners, which was entrusted the responsibility of drawing designs for the administrative buildings in Amaravati, has presented the Legislative Complex and High Court building final designs to the Chief Minister at his camp office in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
While keenly studying the designs, the Chief Minister has suggested changes to the High Court building design.
Speaking on this occasion, Naidu said the people of Andhra Pradesh has lost precious Kohinoor diamond, which was originally found in Guntur district. “Now the people will feel happy after seeing it in the structure of the Assembly.
“Similarly, Stupa replicates happiness. People will feel happy if they get justice. Everyone should feel that they will get justice after entering into the High Court building, which will be replica of Stupa,” he opined. Naidu said: “It is my desire that the Legal City, which will be a part of Nine Cities of Amaravati should enshrine like Hongkong, London cities.
