He stated that security personnel at the Collectorate were asked to ensure free entry to senior citizens. Pradyumna stated that there is an excellent response to Meekosam programme from the people as most of their petitions are being resolved on the spot by district officials.

“It is the most useful platform for district administration to interact with petitioners and settle their issues instantly,” he added. The Collector said, so far, 43,320 petitions were received in Meekosam in which 34,520 grievances have been resolved. He stated that several petitions related to the Revenue department were kept pending due to technical reasons.

The Collector instructed Chittoor Municipal Corporation Commissioner to resume the transportation of water through hired private tankers to supply for colonies facing water shortage. The residents of Vallippanagar staged a dharna at the Collectorate demanding the officials to supply drinking water to their locality. Joint Collector 2 Chandramouli, District Revenue Officer Rajia Begum and other officials were present.
