Vizianagaram: Minister for Panchayatiraj, Rural Development and Information Technology N Lokesh admitted that some of the Janmabhoomi committees are causing problems in selection of beneficiaries list of government welfare schemes.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, Lokesh said the government has identified the anomalies in the lists and taking steps to rectify them.
He said that the government plans to divide the state based on natural resources in the respective areas and establish various industries. As per the plan of the Chief Minister, Rayalaseema would be made as manufacture hub. And Vijayawada and its surrounding areas are going to be developed as educational hub and Vizag as IT headquarter.
“Our aim is to provide lakhs of jobs to unemployed youth and to develop the state in all aspects. We are here to sanction works and funds to any leader and constituency above politics.
Even YSRCP MLAs also can meet us and get funds to their constituencies. We have provided drinking water to Pulivendula, though YS Jaganmohan Reddy did not ask us for funds. We have released funds and completed the project there. Chandrababu Naidu used to write letters to the ministers regarding developmental works when he was in Opposition also.
So, we are here to serve the public. We are facing fund crunch as more than 80 per cent of funds are being spent for salaries and pensions,” Lokesh said. Later, while reviewing the progress of developmental works, he stated in no uncertain terms that delay would not be spared.
