Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday expressed his largesse for the transgender community at the collectors’ conference here. He announced a monthly pension of Rs 1,000, ration card and house for each member from the community.

Naidu asked the Collectors to explore the scope for locations to build houses for the transgender people by taking the other inhabitants on board. Responding to the issue raised by Kadapa district collector T Babaurao Naidu, Chief Minister directed officials to map out the presence of transgender people in their respective districts and make way for implementing welfare initiatives.

The Kadapa collector took up the pleas of transgender community with the Chief Minister in course of deliberations at the conference. Then the CM expressed the desire to implement welfare measures for the transgender all over the state as a policy initiative.
