Inviting the NRI Telugus to invest in AP, Chandrababu explained that the government aims to empower the AP Non-Resident Telugus (APNRTs) through AP Migrants Welfare Development Policy which has garnered a fund of Rs 40 crore benefitting 25 lakh APNRTs.

Stating that the AP Government will extend the required support to Telugu people settled in the Gulf countries, the Chief Minister elaborated the policy through which a helpline will be set up for resolving the issues pertaining to APNRTs adding that they can avail Rs 10 lakh insurance cover for accidental deaths and disability under the APNRT insurance scheme.

He informed that the policy will also benefit in terms of upgrading their skills to increase their income and turn them into entrepreneurs.

During his three-day visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE), Chandrababu is set to hold talks with Emirates Group to partner up for the development of Greenfield airports in Bhogapuram and Amaravati along with increasing flight connectivity to AP.

He made an appeal to the APNRTs who attended the meeting to involve themselves in the development of their native villages in Andhra Pradesh asserting that their input can be higher than the funds including practices and technical support for the development of the state.
