Nellore: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of State Bhanwar Lal directed the officials to start voter enumeration in the district from Nov 1 and complete the process before November 20 and suggested the officials to delete regular migrants from the district.

He held a review meeting with the district officials on Tuesday at Pinakini Guest House and said the officials have to enroll eligible youth (who have completed the age of 18) as voters. He also said that officials have to conduct door to door survey using tabs from November 1.

He explained that officials have to receive objections from the voters on December 6. CEO had gone through the maps of Kavali, Nellore, Gudur and other divisions in the district. He also directed the Returning Officers and revenue staff to clearly indicate total number of voters in each house. CEO asked the officials to mark boundaries in the city Corporation area according to delimitation guidelines.

CEO instructed the staff members to include the names which were missed in the voters’ list. He said officials have to focus on cent per cent enrolment of service voters. He also said that officials have to resolve the applications within one month. CEO directed the ROs to take support from SHAR officials for mapping Naidupet division. He explained that officials have to print the house numbers in the same manner.

Collector R Mutyala Raju explained about the measures to be taken by the district officials for Special Summary Revision- an Intensive Revision Of Electoral rolls – 2018. Nellore Municipal Commissioner S Dilli Rao, DRO Venkata Subbaiah, Kavali RDO Bhaktavatsala Reddy, Gudur RDO Arun Babu, Naidupet RDO Seena Naik, Atmakur RDO Bapireddy and other officials were present.
