Collector inspects survey of regularising houses
District Collector R Mutyala Raju paid a surprise visit in the city on Wednesday for observing ongoing survey of regularisation activity being taken up by the Nellore Municipal Corporation authorities at Lakeview Colony.
Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju paid a surprise visit in the city on Wednesday for observing ongoing survey of regularisation activity being taken up by the Nellore Municipal Corporation authorities at Lakeview Colony.
He enquired about owners of the households and verified the survey forms. The Collector also interacted with Srinivasulu, a resident of Vengalrao Nagar and enquired about the survey process being conducted by civic staff.
He also suggested the surveyors to complete the survey with all valid proofs and thorough details at the door steps. Speaking to the media, Mutyala Raju said that they had received 9,091 applications for regularisation of houses across the district. 6,900 applications were from Nellore city amongst them, he added.
A team of officials have been conducting survey and inspecting the premises at all municipalities in the district, said the Collector. He also said that they would regularise after obtaining permission from the government.
Beneficiaries have to show their ration cards, Aadhaar cards or electricity bills to the officials, who visit their houses, he added. Mutyala Raju also said that they would send officials to the households for survey. Nellore Municipal Commissioner S.Dilli Rao and others were also present.
