Prof Raju released a book on ‘Broadcast Journalism’ jointly authored by Chairman Board of Studies of Journalism of Andhra University Prof P Bobby Vardhan and Dr Suman Kumar Kasturi at a meeting organised by the Writers Academy at Public Library here on Sunday. Head of Foreign Languages of Andhra University Prof DVR Murthy explained about the recent trends in broadcast journalism in the country.
Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Andhra University Prof Challa Ramakrishna said that there is a need for publication of more number of books on broadcast journalism in Indian perspective. He said that that more studies should be conducted to adopt the recent technological developments in the Indian media industry.
Author of the book Bobby Vardhan explained about the contents of the book. He said the book has been prescribed as text book for 50 universities.
President of the Writers Academy VV Ramana Murthy, senior journalists K Vijaya Kumar, B Prabhakara Sarma, S Siva Sankar and former union service official CS Rao expressed their views on the broadcast journalism.
