The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted raids on the residence of Assistant Grade-II In-Charge for Mandal Level Stock Point (MLS) of Civil Supplies Corporation of Jangareddigudem and three other places in West Godavari district on Thursday. The property worth R 10 to 20 crore was unearthed, according to sources.
Eluru: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted raids on the residence of Assistant Grade-II In-Charge for Mandal Level Stock Point (MLS) of Civil Supplies Corporation of Jangareddigudem and three other places in West Godavari district on Thursday. The property worth R 10 to 20 crore was unearthed, according to sources.
According to the ACB officials, a case of disproportionate assets was registered against the Assistant Grade-II In-Charge for MLS Doddigarla Muneswara Rao, Civil Supplies Corporation, Jangareddigudem, in West Godavari district, resident of Vidya Nagar in Eluru.
Officials raided the house of the officer and three other places in the district. The officials during the raids unearthed 469 square yards single storeyed building at Sanivarapupeta village, along with a house site in the year 1998.
He constructed 2nd floor of the house and also a new building adjacent to the old building in 2010. The officials further unearthed that the accused officer purchased house site of 468.28 square yards at Sanivarapupeta in the name of Doddigarla Venkata Lakshmi, wife of the accused.
They also found that the tainted officer started construction of an apartment in the house site that was purchased in his wife’s name. The tainted official also purchased agriculture land of Ac.7.55 cents at Gopalapuram village in Gopalapuram mandal in 2004.
The officials found gold ornaments worth Rs 20,13,000, household articles worth Rs.8.38 lakhs, Rs.7.38 lakhs cash, Hyundai I-20 Motor Car, two two-wheelers. The officials said that the officials also conducted raids in Jangareddigudem also.
ACB Eluru DSP Gopalakrishna, CIs UJ Wilson, Srinivas conducted the raids at Gopalapuram, Sanivarapupeta, Eluru while Rajahmahendravarm ACB CI I Surya Mohan and other officials conducted raids at Jangareddigudem.
