Vijayawada: With no-confidence motion against the Centre to be taken up in Parliament on Friday, the Congress and Left parties announced various programmes supporting the motion. The Congress will stage a protest while Left parties will organise party meetings supporting the motion.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy called upon the rank and file of the party to form human chains supporting the motion in Parliament. He also asked them to stage protests against the BJP government for the injustice meted out to the state after the bifurcation of the state.
The Left parties, CPM and CPI, will conduct Sanghibhava Sabha supporting the efforts of Andhra Pradesh MPs, said CPI city secretary D Shankar. He said the Left parties would extend support for the special category status on all democratic platforms.
