Guntur: Mirchi Yard chairman Manna Subba Rao urged the farmers not bring chilli stocks till lorry owners strike is called off. He addressed exporters and traders at a meeting held at Guntur Mirchi Yard on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that due to lorry owners' strike, chilli stocks have piled up in the Mirchi yard. “If the stocks are dumped, it will be difficult to protect the stocks. If rain will continue, the stocks may get damaged,” he cautioned.

Taking rains into consideration, it was not advisable to bring chilli stock, he said adding that until lorry owners strike was settled, the farmers should cooperate.
