Ongole: The Prakasam district police started 10-day training on Technical Data Analysis for a selected batch of 44 constables with knowledge on computers, at the Galaxy Complex in the district police office on Monday.

The police department upgraded the reconfigured the existing software and hardware capabilities of the technical wing and felt the need to strengthen the human capabilities. In order to cope up with the upcoming challenges in crime prevention and detection, the officials decided to strengthen and upgrade the existing technical wing in the district to assist the investigating officers.

The district SP, Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu said that they have identified 44 constables who are having basic technical knowledge after scrutiny. He said that these staff will undergo 10 days of training on various aspects of the technical training like CDR analysis, tower dump analysis, location tracking, query generation, social media monitoring, crime detection skills along with the cyber crimes and their tackling skills etc.

He said that once they complete training, they will work as resource persons at sub division and circle levels to provide help and assistance to the investigation officers. The SP said that they are also focusing on building technical evidence so as to improve the quality of investigation and probability of convictions.
