Caution boards to be set up to check road mishaps

Guntur: Rural police conducted a special drive from July 17 to 23 and booked cases against 340 persons for violation of traffic rules.

They produced the offenders in the court which imposed imprisonment to four persons and penalty to forty persons.

The police officials identified road from Dachepalli toll plaza to Nadigam cross on the NH as prone to road accidents. They instructed concerned authorities to set up caution boards to avoid road accidents.

Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu directed the police officials to conduct Drushyam programme to create awareness on road accidents.

He further said that they will continue drunken drive tests to check road accidents and urged the people to follow traffic to avoid road accidents.
