Vijayawada: To mark the 72nd Independence Day celebrations, the Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting started a 5-day-long photo exhibition at the executive lounge, waiting hall on platform number 1, Vijayawada Railway station on Sunday.

The photo exhibition was inaugurated by Narsapuram MP Gokaraju Gangaraju. Speaking on the occasion, the MP said that to celebrate the 72nd Independence Day, ROB was organising the exhibition at the Vijayawada Railway Station.


He said that ROB portrays the photos of the struggle by our freedom-fighters against the British to get Independence.

He said all the younger generations, school children, college students and others should come and see this exhibition for awareness on the freedom struggle and the sacrifice by our freedom-fighters for the mother land.

MLC Somu Veerraju said that the young generations should have respect towards the nation, freedom-fighters and have patriotism.

R Dhananjayulu, DRM South Central Railway, and others were present.
