Tirupati: A major fire broke out in Dixon Company yard where waste (scrap) materials are dumped, located in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), Vikruthamala, near airport, on Wednesday.
The alert employees saw the fire not spread into the company operational area while the fire tenders from airport and Tirupati brought the fire under control after struggling for two hours.
The cause of the fire and the loss is yet to be ascertained by fire and police officials. Tirupati RDO Narasimhulu visited the company and enquired with officials on the fire incident.
